Magic vs. Wonder, What’s the difference?

While the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder look the same on the outside, there are myriad differences.  The floor plans remain the same, but the decor and theme differs vastly.  Guests aboard the Disney Magic enjoy a classical art deco look to the decor with deep nautical colors.  Guests aboard the Disney Wonder will be treated to an art nouveau look giving the look and feel of old Paris which features sycamore wood, blue glass and polished nickel railings.  The centerpiece of the atrium lobbies are statues of Mickey Mouse in rain gear steering the Magic or Ariel from The Little Mermaid aboard the Wonder.

Many of the areas on the ships have been renamed:

The Beach Blanket Buffet has been modified on the Wonder for greater outdoor seating, hopefully eliminating lines encountered in this area.

Lumiere's dining room has been renamed Triton's.  The decor has been changed from the formality of the Beauty and the Beast theme to a more subtle color scheme with the colors of the sea, and a wall mosaic of King Triton.

The entertainment area has been renamed Route 66 on the Wonder. The Barrel of Laughs comedy club is also a brewpub.  The Cadillac Lounge features mockups of classic cars for seating.

A formal baby-sitting service has been added as part of the Oceaneer’s Area, so that parents may take full advantage of the entertainment and adult-only experiences aboard.

While Goofy is preoccupied with painting the Magic’s mane on the transom, the honor goes to Donald and one of his nephews on the Disney Wonder.
